Did you hear it?  Listen again.  Yup!
Your stomach is growling.  Funny thing is, you already ate and so it’s not a matter of being hungry.  It’s not even that you’re concerned about
where your next meal will come from because you know that in a couple more hours, you’ll rummage through the cupboard, or drive through Burger King and
all will be well.  If you look at your day, it may turn out that your plate is already full, in fact, so full, you hardly have a moment to worry about your next meal.

Your plate is always full.  So why are you hungry?  Perhaps your hunger has nothing to do with the cold pizza that might be loitering on the shelves of the
refrigerator.  Maybe that growling noise comes from a hunger for something more fulfilling.  Maybe what you’re seeking isn’t gourmet, but
another serving of Grace, of genuine spiritual food, the manna that only God can serve.

Thomas Watson said, “God will fill the hungry because He Himself has stirred up the hunger.  As in the case of prayer, when God prepares the heart to pray, He prepares His ear to hear.  So in the case of spiritual hunger, when God
prepares the heart to hunger, He will prepare His hand to fill.”

If your stomach is growling ever so slightly today, but somehow you’re still not filled up, try sitting down at the table of Grace.
There’s a bountiful spread, more than enough to go around, more than enough to satisfy your growling tummy.  The One who serves you invites you to the table every day, 24/7 because He delights in seeing you fulfilled.  If He could tell you just one thing, He would say, “Come!
There’s so much more that I’ve prepared for you.  It is my will that you would never be hungry.”

Don’t let a full plate, keep you from being fed.  I’ll look for you at the table because I hear a little growling noise in my own tummy this morning. Let’s sit down at the table of Grace together.

May you be filled with all good things today!
