This is a piece from my book, It’s Still Possible. I send it on to you with love.
Second Corinthians 3:2 says, “You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone.”
Think about the people you admire the most. Chances are you admire their generous spirits, their kindness to others, and the wonderful way they invite you into their lives. They may be compassionate and strategic leaders who give direction with grace. They may simply be people who are not afraid to be themselves and so they go after their dreams with confidence.
In his letter to the Corinthians, Paul wanted to remind people how special they are; that they are living examples of the love of Christ. In fact, they are the love letters from God written to a world in desperate need of all He has to offer. They impact the lives of those around them simply because they are thoughtful and kind. In other words, he reminds them that their actions matter. What they do makes a difference.
You too are God’s love letter to everyone who crosses your path. You are a divine example of grace and generosity, of encouragement and humility. You demonstrate what it means to be a child of God because your light is always on. It always reflects the condition of your heart. You inspire the hopes of others simply by caring about the things that matter to them.
You may be the reason someone you know right now stands at the doorway of heaven one day. Your example opens the door, and God’s message of forgiveness invites them in.
If one of your dreams is to make a difference in the world, then deliver your message of love in every way you’ve been gifted to do so and then thank God that He allows you to shine your light. After all, there’s nothing sweeter than receiving a love letter, especially one that has a forever stamp.
Thanks for your awesome example to everyone around you. God bless you big today!
