The artist, known as Grandma Moses wanted to paint and nothing was going to stop her. She was 73. It turned out, she was an awesome folk artist and one of her paintings sold for a million and a half dollars in 2006. She didn’t let her age or circumstances or anything else get in her way. She worked with what she had and let God do the rest.

Oftentimes the hardest part of trying something new, or trying something again, is overcoming an unkind remark someone made about your favorite form of creativity. You believed the remark and buried it inside your heart.  You were disabled by a lie.

Since the Creator of the whole universe, who had more imagination than any living soul will ever achieve, put a portion of Himself in each of us, it’s a given that we’re creative. You’re creative. You have something special you do really well. What will you do then to give yourself a new possibility?

Why not pull out that water color piece you started painting ten years ago, or the manuscript that still sits in a box under your bed? Why not go to the Source of all inspiration and seek guidance as to what you can do right now to fulfill your dreams. Moses led Israel through the desert at 80 years old. Grandma Moses turned her talents around in her 70s. Hundreds of others could be listed here. Opportunity is still in front of you.

God renews your spirit and soul every day. He gives you a clean slate and a new canvas. What will you do with it?

Step out in faith, brush up on your scripture, and then get out your paint brush and create. Your Interior Designer will help you along.

Therefore we do not lose heart.

Though outwardly we are wasting away;

yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day.
