And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists
and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.

The British theologian and Baptist preacher, F.B. Meyer wrote, “We never test the resources of God until we attempt the impossible.”
If you did a quick survey of your life, how often would you be able to say that you have “attempted the impossible?” Sure, you’ve taken a few chances, or did things that seemed risky, but did you have to rely solely on God for the win? Did you even have to step outside of your comfort zone?
Batter Up!
It doesn’t serve God well for you to stick to the small things, the ones you can do with your eyes closed. You have to stretch your mind and your nerves. You have to think bigger and bigger. If you attempt big things in your humanness, you know you will fail miserably. The good news is that your hope doesn’t depend on your skills though. Your hope depends on God because He has all the resources. When God sees your desires, intervenes, and steps up to the plate with you, things happen. In the vernacular of baseball then, God is your spring trainer. He helps you develop a powerful swing and gives you extraordinary energy. With His help you see the ball, the object of your hopes and dreams go sailing high into the blue sky across the outfield. Suddenly, the crowd is cheering wildly as you run all the bases and slide into home plate. You can hardly believe what has happened.
What Are Your Resources?
The reminder then is that you can only test God’s resources if you get into the game. You have to give Him a chance to go to bat for you and with you. Your team is already warming up, ready for you to join them on the field. Your resources are all in place. It’s time for an amazing homerun!
It’s a new day and you’re already in the lineup. Have faith in all God can do and even impossible things will happen.
