The year is racing like the wind
Toward the finish line,
Anxious just to start again
And leave the past behind.
It jumps into the fading leaves
And laughs as if to say
Come walk with me a while
Before it’s too late to play.
Let’s make a few more memories
And celebrate each treasure
That we’ve received throughout the year,
By the Good Lord’s grace and pleasure.
We’ll sip some apple cider,
Or create a special treat
And share the gifts of gratitude
That make this year so sweet.
We’ll remember those we’ve loved
Who helped us move along,
Encouraging our hopes and dreams
So our year would finish strong.
Yes, let’s express our gratitude
To God and to each other,
Joining hands and hearts and lives
In peace with one another.
Blessings to you. Happy Thanksgiving!
The Lord is my light and my salvation,
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
Wait on the Lord; be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord!
